Compliance designed into the lending flow
Products built on Corentis are designed so that responsible lending, identity and financial-crime checks, and data protection are part of the process — not added afterwards. This page describes the intended approach for the Spanish market.
Positioning. Corentis is a technology platform, not a lender. Lending is carried out by the licensed financial entity operating the product. This page describes how the platform supports that entity's compliance obligations; it does not assert any licence or registration on Corentis's own behalf.
No credit before a creditworthiness assessment
Every application is assessed for affordability and repayment capacity. An offer is only generated after that assessment — and approval is never guaranteed.
Creditworthiness
Income, existing obligations and repayment capacity are assessed before any offer, using the borrower's data and consented external sources.
Affordability first
Products are configured so that lending decisions consider the borrower's ability to repay sustainably, not just eligibility.
Clear outcomes
Decisions, conditions and decline reasons are recorded and explainable, with a path to human review.
AML, KYC/KYB and screening before disbursement
No application moves to signing or disbursement before the required identity and financial-crime checks are complete.
Transparent decisions, with human review
Where scoring or automated assessment is used, it is designed to be explainable. A borrower is never given a final rejection from an opaque model without a route to a human.
- Decision factors are visible at a high level, with understandable decline reasons.
- Right to human review of an automated decision where applicable.
- Risk and compliance decisions are separated and recorded independently.
- Model output is not presented as legal certainty.
Data protection (GDPR)
- Clear privacy notice, defined purposes and lawful basis.
- Data minimisation and defined retention periods.
- Separate consent for marketing; credit checks disclosed.
- Access, rectification, erasure and objection rights honoured.
